This rental agreement is between Simply Chique Events venue and The Renter. The contract will be considered final when the deposit is received, and Simply Chique Events venue replies to your email with acknowledgement of the signed contract.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS of Simply Chique Events Rental Agreement:
Renter must be over 21 years of age. This Venue is for private parties and events.
RESERVATION: $250.00 retainer to hold the event date. This fee ensures reservation of your event time slot and is non refundable if you cancel for any reason. If there are not damages or excessive cleaning to the venue this retainer will be refundable. Event Date cannot be changed.
Occupancy Time: The Venue is rented out in minimum of four-hour block on Friday-Sunday. Monday-Thursday minimum two-hour block. 11:15 PM is the latest end time for any event as you will need to exit the venue by midnight.
DAMAGES: If breakage, damage, loss, or additional expenses are incurred the undersigned agrees to reimburse Simply Chique Events Venue for the excess within two days of the event.
SECURITY: Simply Chique Events Venue requires for parties for ages 16-25 require security @$25.00 a hour charge to be included in the per hour rental cost. All Parties starting after 6pm will require security@$25.00 a hour charge to be included in the per hour rental cost.
RENTAL CHARGE: Rental fee is due 1 month prior to the event. Event shall be canceled if the fee is not received on time. Rental fee is not refundable. Simply Chique Events Venue will clearly state the total rental fee in the email responding to this contract.
NOT PERMITTED: NO Firearms allowed on or in premises. NO Attaching stuff to walls/ceiling/lights.NO Smoke producing devices like candles or sparkles (exception Birthday Candle). NO Water Guns. NO Smoking inside if anyone is found smoking or vaping in the premises a $250.00 fine will be charged. NO cooking devices or grills. NOFireworks.NO Blocking two exit doors clearly marked with EXIT signs. Drapes or Backdrops taller than 10 feet as they are not stable. Excessive use of drapes to create a fire hazard. Glitter or confetti (Extremely painful to clean out of any floor). No Alcohol beverages permitted outside the venue
Prep area: Prep area is for non-cooking purposes only.
ALCOHOL: The Renter is permitted to serve alcohol on premises including Liquor per ABC of NC rules. The Renter must obtain the **Limited Special Occasion Permit from ABC of NC within 14 days of event date to serve Liquor at their event***, even if a certified bartender is hired (abc.nc.gov). Keys Cocktails will be the only bartender to service alcohol if a bartender is needed for your event.
Serving Beer and Wine ONLY as defined by ABC of NC, does not require a permit. The Renter must follow all ABC of NC rules and any applicable laws in serving alcohol and food. The Venue only allows alcohol for guests invited at a private party by the renter, free of charge. Selling alcohol is not permitted at Simply Chique Events Venue under any circumstances. The renter is solely responsible for monitoring and control of the alcohol at their event, including preventing access by minors.
Simply Chique Events Venue does not provide alcohol under any circumstances.
SMOKING: No Smoking or Vaping is allowed inside the building.
CATERING: The Renter can hire a professional licensed caterer of their choice or assume liability of self-serving food.
TRASH/CLEANING: All trash must be in the trash bags not thrown on the floor. Trash must be placed in the outside dumpster at the rear of the building. There will be a $125.00 excessive cleaning charge if trash is left inside the venue, or the venue is left extremely trashed.
Setup/Breakdown: Setup and Breakdown are provided by the Venue. Host is responsible for any rented furniture.
FURNITURE: Round Tables(60in), and up to 75 Chairs are provided by the Venue. 2 cocktail tables are provided in the lobby. 2 six-foot long rectangular tables and 2 eight-foot-long rectangular tables are also provided.
REMOVING BELONGINGS: Renter is required to remove all their belongings and accessories by 11:59 PM. This includes all food, drinks, packages, furniture, decorations, and anything else brought in by the host or their vendors. This includes DJ and their equipment. The music must stop by 11:15 PM. Anything left behind will be disposed and disposal charges will apply.
LIABILITY: Simply Chique Events Venue does not sell food or alcohol. Renter shall indemnify and hold harmless Simply Chique Events Venue against any liabilities arising out of Food and Alcohol served at their function. Simply Chique Events venue is not liable for harm or illness from any food nor beverages served at this private event.
IN WITNESS THEREOF the parties hereto have caused this Agreement to be duly executed on their behalf by a duly authorized representative as of the date first set forth above.
